Praja Rajakiya Vedike mourns the demise of Santosh Koli

Twenty eight-year-old Santosh Koli an RTI Activist expired in Delhi. She succumbed to the injuries she received from a motor accident a few weeks back. Koli was a fearless crusader on the Right to Information Act, Koli gained popularity, while working with Parivarthan in her locality (Sundar Nagri) as the short, dark, girl who would address people’s grievances on the public distribution system and other government welfare schemes.
Koli is known in the movement circle for her feisty nature, championing the cause of the poor. Given her popularity among locals, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) declared her as the party candidate from North East Delhi’s Seemapuri constituency, a reserved seat.
We express sincere grief and extend our condolences to her family, friends and colleagues over the sad demise Santosh Koli will be remembered for her valiant work in championing the cause of the Right to Information Act.
